What Is a Lower Extremity Doppler Ultrasound?

  • A small handheld device called a transducer will be gently moved over the area being examined.
  • The ultrasound system records images and measures blood flow in the vessels.

The procedure is completely non-invasive, and you can return to normal activities immediately afterward.
